DCSS Planning Parent Leadership Training
Posted on 10/19/2023
The Douglas County School System will be looking to help build family leaders through a training called Fostering Family Leaders: Strengthening Families Through Parent Leadership.
The program is one that builds on parents' current strengths and helps them reach a new level of leadership in their homes, schools and communities.
The training is available to all parents of DCSS students, and topics covered will include goal setting, understanding your child's milestones, shared power communication and more.
Trainings will be held at the Hunter Park Ike Owens Community Center, and they will begin on November 3.
The Fostering Family Leaders Program is available to parents through a partnership between DCSS, Douglas County Communities in Schools and the United Way of Greater Atlanta.
