Douglas County middle and high school students are invited to attend a virtual interest meeting for the new Adapted Sports League on Thursday, May 16th at 6 p.m.
AAASP (American Association of Adapted Sports Program) adapted team sports accommodate and allow for full participation in extracurricular interscholastic athletics for students with the following disabilities listed at

"I am incredibly excited about the Adapted Sports League coming to the Douglas County School System," said Cheryl Handley, DCSS Executive Director of Program for Exceptional Children. "This league will make sure every student can experience the fun and personal growth that comes with being part of a team. By offering this program, our school system continues its commitment to providing inclusive and competitive opportunities for students to succeed."
