Fifth-graders at Sweetwater Elementary along with FLEX Academy students recently explored the world of science during an in-school field trip hosted by Georgia Power. The engaging presentation that sparked discovery and innovation incorporated hands-on learning activities based on the Science Energy Unit.
Students were captivated by the fundamental concepts such as forms of energy, energy transformations, and the laws of thermodynamics. Through engaging lessons and hands-on activities, students were able to gain a deeper understanding of how energy functions in the natural world.
“Georgia Power representative Mrs. Lorrie Wallace did an excellent job of sharing insight, equipping students with the knowledge and skills needed to navigate the complexities of energy in our everyday lives. We are grateful she was able to take time to share with our students,” said Principal Tanish Springer.
