All Schools Closed Tuesday, January 16

The Douglas County School System has been working with the National Weather Service to stay informed about the possibility for severe weather in our community. According to the National Weather Service, there is a Winter Weather Advisory for our area Tuesday, January 16, 2024. This advisory extends to surrounding counties.
To protect the safety of our school community, all Douglas County schools will be closed on Tuesday, January 16, 2024. This includes all after school activities and events. All 12 month school system employees must report to work at 10:00 am.
We are dedicated to maintaining the safety of our students and staff. As a result, we will continue monitoring these weather conditions.
Any additional changes to the school schedule will be promptly communicated with our school community. These updates will be sent by email or text. Information will also be shared on our social media platforms and in collaboration with our media partners.
