West GA Living Magazine Honors DCSS Super Seniors

Congratulations to the Douglas County School System's Super Scholars! West Georgia Living Magazine recently recognized several members of the Class of 2021 as being the leaders of tomorrow.  Here are more details on the five seniors representing the Douglas County School System.

Madison BradleyMadison Bradley has maintained a 3.82 while being a cheerleader and part of New Manchester High School’s Fine Arts Magnet Program. Principal Tekmekia Gilchrist says Madison has all the qualities of a great leader. She is a member of the National Society of High School Scholars and is a member of the Tri-M Music Honor Society. Principal Gilchrist says after graduation,  Bradley will continue to leave her mark on the world in a big way. “I have seen so many examples of her talent and have been impressed by her diligence and work ethic,” she says. After graduation, Madison will pursue further academic studies at a four year university that will prepare her for a career in finance, investment banking or philanthropy.
 








Jaden Cobb
is an International BaccalaureateJaden Cobb Senior at Douglas County High School. He is also SGA President and former president of the National Honor Society. He is the co-founder and communications director of Becca’s Closet, a non profit that collects and distributes prom dresses to girls in need. Principal Andre Weaver describes him as a phenomenal young man who inspires students with "his willingness to lead, inspire and achieve.” After graduation, Jaden will study at Georgetown University, where he will major in political science. He will later attend law school and work in government. 






Joann ObiomaJoann Obioma excels in all her CHHS AP Magnet classes and has earned the respect of her peers and teachers as SGA President. She has shined throughout her high school career,  maintaining a 4.0 GPA while taking a total of ten AP classes, three dual enrollment classes and other honors classes. She is completing the Emergency Medical Technician pathway and expects to graduate as a nationally registered EMT in May. She plans to further her education at the University of Georgia or Howard University after graduation. 








Tiolulope Popoola is a talented Biomedical Tiolulope Popoola and Healthcare senior at Lithia Springs High School. STEM Magnet Coordinator Payton Millinor says her passion for learning and commitment to academic excellence help her rise to the top of her class. She has completed a dozen dual enrollment classes in addition to twelve honors and nine Advanced Placement courses. She has also completed a Computer Science pathway in and Biomedical and Healthcare pathways. After graduation, she plans to pursue further studies at the University of Georgia. She is passionate about medicine and  plans to impact her community as an obstetrician/gynecologist specializing in Maternal and Fetal Health. 
















 





Wesley SmithWesley Smith shines at Alexander High School as varsity football captain and SGA Vice President. Principal Dr. Chris Small nominated Wesley because of his leadership qualities.  “Wesley has an ability to get along with almost anyone. Alexander High School looks forward to hearing great things from him in the future,” Dr. Small says. Wesley has earned a 3.88 throughout high school and taken nine Advanced Placement classes and nine additional honors and accelerated classes. He plans to work in the law or medical field after graduation.
