The central office for the Douglas County School System will relocate to 11490 Veterans Memorial Hwy. the week of May 10. The building, located at the corner of Veterans Memorial/Hwy 78 and N. Burnt Hickory Road, formerly housed the GreyStone Power headquarters.

Ten Seniors Named Georgia Scholars

Ten students from Douglas County were among a total of 323 graduating seniors from across Georgia to be recognized as 2021 Georgia Scholars, State School Superintendent Richard Woods announced on April 29.

All DCSS High Schools Make U.S. News & World Report's List of Best High Schools in America

All high schools in Douglas County earned a spot on the U.S. News & World Report’s List of Best High Schools in America, which was released April 27, 2021. Chapel Hill High School, which ranked in the top 16% of schools in Georgia, topped the list for Douglas County. Chapel Hill ranked 78 out of 472 schools.
