Former Alexander High Cheerleaders Celebrate Championship Wins

Two Alexander High School friends, united by a lifelong love of cheerleading, are celebrating epic wins this month. Bianca McLaughlin won a National Championship with the University of Alabama's competition cheer team, while Rickaiya Conyers, a University of Georgia student, was on the sideline when the Bulldogs won the College Football Playoff National Championship.

Future Problem-Solvers Showcase Skills at Science Fair

After months of planning and building, middle and high school students from around Douglas County participated virtually in DCSS' annual science and engineering fair. More than 60 projects were submitted in three different categories: science, engineering and computing.

LSHS Engineering Students Celebrate College Acceptance Letters

Each year around this time, high school seniors begin committing to post-graduate plans. So far, 20 LSHS engineering students have been accepted to prestigious schools around the country, including Georgia Tech, MIT, Vanderbilt and Wittenberg and Missouri S&T.
