Students from Chapel Hill Middle School’s 21st Century Community Learning Centers (CCLC) After-School Program recently shared the spirit of giving by creating and donating gift bags to residents at the Woodie Fite Senior Center. The thoughtful gesture brought smiles and joy to many seniors and helped strengthen connections between generations in the community.
Director Dr. Richardean Few, along with her staff and the senior center residents expressed a profound appreciation to the Chapel Hill Middle School community for their overwhelming kindness, generosity, and commitment to service.
Jane Rookard, director of the CCLC After-School Program, shared that students and staff are dedicated to maintaining strong connections with community members and partners. This initiative was inspired by the principles of “The Giving Tree” and reflects the true spirit of serving others.
This marks the second annual Giving Tree initiative for the 21st CCLC Focus After-School Program.
