Registration is now open for the 11th annual Operation Christmas Douglas County.
The event will take place Saturday, Dec. 6, at churches throughout the county.
Families must reside in Douglas County to participate and will be asked to certify they are in need due to financial hardship.
Eligible families can receive free toys and gifts during Operation Christmas. Families are encouraged to register as soon as possible, as registration may close after 7,000 registrations have been received.
Once registered, families will receive a "golden ticket" by email to present when receiving gifts during the event.
