Advanced Placement Magnet Program

Chapel Hill High School

Chapel Hill High School provides students across the school district the opportunity to participate in the Advanced Placement (AP) Magnet Program. Chapel Hill High is committed to expanding AP offerings to better prepare students for the rigorous coursework they will face in college. The AP Program is developed by the College Board and is a nationally recognized curriculum. There are 34 AP course offerings. Courses offered at Chapel Hill High are based on students’ interests and requests during the registration process. Participation in these courses challenge high school students, help students stand out in the college admissions process, and assist students in earning college credits while still in high school. Students who meet specific criteria on AP exams may be eligible to skip introductory college courses thus saving money on college tuition.
