CLMS Students Fly High in Flight Simulator
Posted on 02/28/2022
Ten of Chestnut Log Middle School’s (CLMS) Junior 100 students learned what it feels like to pilot a plane thanks to a virtual flight simulator.

Karlston Martin, a software engineer for Cox Automotive, certified commercial pilot, and passionate supporter of STEAM curriculum, brought the simulator to the school for students to learn from.

He believes that experiences like this one are “creative and practical ways of teaching kids the importance of technology outside the classroom.”

During the activity, Martin sat with students as they used the simulator to fly the virtual plane and understand what it takes to fly an airplane.
