What Does the PISA Report Tell Us About U.S. Education? back button

The press releases do not point out that the U.S. was around #52 in Reading in 1964 and has NEVER been among top performers in many disciplines, but it's more important to do the digging and understand why..., less each generation continues to get caught up in "for-profit agendas" and/or a political party's education reform or deform platform.

Teachers and educators have known for years what it takes to improve our schools, but making a teacher an Ombudsmen, Teacher of the Year, an administrator or an appendage to an administration falls short of what the PISA report recommends we do to realize success.

Nevertheless, the road that Georgia is on as per educational politics needs a course correction. We are still off course. The PISA report as per U.S. recommendations found in Chapters 2 and 11 would be most helpful to understanding causes and effects.
