The Douglas County school cafeterias meet federal nutrition standards for school meals, ensuring that meals are healthy and well-balanced and provide students all the nutrition they need to succeed at school. The Nutrition Services Department is always working to offer students healthier and tastier choices. Each year at student forums, students are asked to taste test and rate foods that are being considered for upcoming menus. Each month cafeterias feature Georgia grown produce. School meals are a great value and a huge convenience for busy families.

The Georgia School Nutrition Association is the professional organization of school food service employees in the state of Georgia. It was founded in 1951 and maintains headquarters in Tucker, GA.
