BRIDGES is a $4.7 million grant that the school system received from the U.S. Department of Education.  BRIDGES - Building Rigor in Douglas to Graduate Every Student - is a student achievement grant implemented at each of the five Douglas County high schools.  2011-2012 marks the 4th year of our five-year grant.

All high school students benefit from BRIDGES in some way.  There are freshman transition programs that help rising 9th graders ease into high school and provide support that critical first year.  These programs include the Freshman Expo, Freshman Summer Camp, Freshman Fiesta, and BRIDGES Buddies peer mentoring.  Other activities that BRIDGES offers for grades 9 through 12 include: college fairs, college field trips, credit recovery opportunities, tutoring, test prep, and more!
